Hi, I’m Ruby—a Design Systems Manager bridging design and code to build scalable, efficient systems.
My journey into design and development started in grade school, where I taught myself design using freeware like GIMP and Inkscape before upgrading to Adobe (thanks to my parents). I took the same hands-on approach to coding, learning by reverse-engineering websites and experimenting with front-end development.
With a BFA in Graphic Design (2016), I initially built my career as a front-end developer before transitioning into UX and design systems. This hybrid background shapes how I approach challenges—breaking down complex problems, understanding how systems connect, and delivering clear, scalable solutions.
I specialize in design systems, UI frameworks, and developer-friendly tooling, ensuring that teams can move faster and more consistently. Whether it’s building component libraries, defining token strategies, or driving adoption, I focus on creating systems that don’t just scale, but truly support the teams using them.
Outside of work, I design and sell premium mechanical keyboard kits, blending CAD engineering, 3D rendering, and branding to craft products that balance form and function.
