Discretion is Mandated: A Specialized Input Device by MEGACORP

As a creative exploration into the intersection of corporate absurdity and premium hardware design, I conceptualized and designed Discretion, the latest "Specialized Input Device" under the fictional banner of MEGACORP. This piece blends brutalist aesthetics, technical precision, and a satirical corporate tone inspired by worlds like Severance and Control.

Central to the design philosophy is a shared internal system of components and shells, enabling modularity across different case designs and material combinations. This approach not only streamlines the manufacturing process but also allows for maximum customization, giving users the freedom to personalize their device while maintaining consistent performance and build quality.

Key features of Discretion include:

• Mounting: Gasket-mounted for a premium typing experience
• PCB: RP2040-powered with JST and Universal DB connectivity
• Plates: Regular and thick plate options for customization
• Layouts: Rowstagger, ortho, or alphastagger PCB configurations
• Blockers: WKL, HHKB, or no blockers
• Materials: Frosted acrylic or Cerakoted aluminum (white, black finishes)
• Bottom Options: Bead-blasted or mirror-polished brass

This project allowed me to combine my passions for design systems, product design, branding and mechanical keyboards while fully embracing a satirical corporate narrative. From branding and CAD engineering to 3D rendering and promotion, Discretion is both a labor of love and an exercise in world-building.
