The MEGACORP Series

Inspired by the liminal unease of Severance and Control, the MEGACORP series explores the aesthetic and ideology of an imagined megacorporation; one whose influence extends quietly, inexorably, through form and function. Each keyboard within the series represents a different facet of MEGACORP’s guiding principles: Discretion, Industry, and Personnel.

All entries share a standardized internal structure built around the proprietary MEGACORP PCB, designed for interchangeability and manufacturing efficiency.

Every construction consists of:

• Top and bottom case halves
• PCB, plate, and switch assembly
• Daughterboard slot and wire channel
• Grommet-gasket mounting system
  
  

By maintaining consistent internal specifications, MEGACORP reduces production costs and streamlines tooling, ensuring that every new design can be introduced without operational delay.

Discretion

“Issued to Designated Discretionary Employees.”

The first and most compact entry, Discretion embodies quiet efficiency. Its thin frame and distinct notch define a purposeful, utilitarian profile. Designed for portability and rapid deployment, it represents MEGACORP’s field-ready instrument, ideal for on-site evaluations and covert operations.

According to internal research, Discretion enables maximum operational efficiency through immediate and adaptable interfacing.

Industry

“Industry is our legacy.”

The second entry, Industry, stands as MEGACORP’s structural foundation. Its architecture, reminiscent of an inverted ziggurat, symbolizes labor, hierarchy, and permanence. Thick bezels reinforce its physical authority, commanding observation and respect.

If Discretion is the agile agent, Industry is the institution: immovable and absolute in its function.

Personnel

“For the many hands that serve one purpose.”

The third entry, Personnel, features a minimal, suspended form that appears to hover above the desk. It represents diligence and uniformity, reflecting MEGACORP’s belief that stability is found through structure, not comfort.

Its floating profile and silent presence serve as a reminder that even the smallest motions contribute to the greater mechanism.
